What is COMMITTED about?
Phoebe is just FINE, thank you! Whether she’s navigating roommate drama, working at the local coffee-shop, or trying to outrun grief, she is making do and getting by. But when she hears a call that no one else can, Phoebe realizes she’s destined for more than just living, and she embarks on an epic journey to realize her visions. But her quest takes a terrifying turn when she has a breakdown at a house party - and is escorted by police to a mental hospital.
Amidst the infantilizing control and medication cocktails of the psych ward, Phoebe finds glimmers of community and resistance, but all of that falls away when she’s released. How do we learn to trust our voice? How do we weave together threads of community - before we all fall apart? Heck, how do we get outta bed in the morning (or afternoon)?
